- An ADA-accessible boardwalk ramp down to the sand
It’s a well-equipped lot, but like most popular Southwest Florida beaches, it can fill up on weekends and during peak season (roughly February through April, plus holiday weekends).
When the Lot Is Full: Little Hickory Island Beach Park
If Bonita Beach Park’s lot is full, Little Hickory Island Beach Park is the closest backup — a Lee County-managed beach a short drive away. It’s a good option to keep in your back pocket rather than waiting around for a spot to open up at the main lot.
Tips for a Smoother Parking Day
- Go early or go late. Late morning through early afternoon is the busiest window, especially in season.
- Have the mobile pay app ready before you arrive so you’re not fumbling with it curbside.
