Why Sanibel Island
The quietest, most natural coast we serve
Sanibel is famous for its shelling — the island sits east-west rather than north-south, which is why the Gulf pushes shells onto its shores the way it does nowhere else on this coast. It is calmer, greener and slower than the mainland beaches, with no high-rises and a lot more birds.
We set up regularly at Lighthouse Beach, by the historic Sanibel Lighthouse and steps from the Lighthouse Cafe, and at Gulfside City Beach Park. Bowman’s Beach and Causeway Islands Park are also available — Bowman’s is the most accessible of the four, with seven designated handicap spaces and changing rooms on site.
Plenty of guests pair a cabana day here with a stop at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, which is a few minutes up the island. If you are making a day of both, book the morning on the sand and go to the refuge in the afternoon light.

Off-site availability is currently by request. We opened a beachfront store at Bonita Beach and are concentrating our crew there for now, so Sanibel Island setups are limited rather than open-calendar. Every package price below already includes the $100 per day trip fee, plus delivery, setup and cleanup — you never pay a trip fee on top of a package. Nothing is added at checkout — the price you see is the price you pay. Beach parking is paid separately to the town or county.

Why Sanibel Island costs more than Bonita Beach. Sanibel carries a $100 per-day trip fee, charged for each day of your reservation. It is higher than our other beaches because it covers the causeway toll each way on top of the usual gas, parking, drive time and crew. Bonita Beach is our home base with no trip fee, which is why a Solo Cabana starts at $175 there — see Bonita Beach if your plans are flexible.

Everything arrives before you do
We drive out, build your setup on the sand, and come back at the end of the day to take it away. You carry nothing, either direction.

Before you go
Parking, restrooms & accessibility
Beach parking is not included in your reservation, and it is paid to the town or county rather than to us. Here is exactly what to expect.
Lighthouse Beach
Metered parking at $5 per hour — coin or card at the pay station, or the mobile-pay app posted on the meter — with 4 designated handicap spaces near the boardwalk entrance. Restrooms and outdoor showers on site, and an ADA-accessible boardwalk that runs straight onto the sand.
Gulfside City Beach Park
Also $5 per hour metered, with 3 handicap spaces close to the entrance. Restrooms and outdoor showers available on site.
Bowman’s Beach
$5 per hour, and the most accessible option on the island: 7 handicap spaces — more than any other Sanibel access — plus restrooms, outdoor showers and changing rooms.
Causeway Islands Park
A free overflow option if the main lots fill up. Restrooms on site, but no shower.
The causeway toll
The Sanibel Causeway charges a toll each way. That is already inside your package price — it is the reason the Sanibel trip fee is $100 rather than $60.
Your hours
Daytime setups run 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. A Golden Hour Sunset package runs 3:00 PM to dusk by request.
Tell us your preferred access point when you book. We are happy to set up almost anywhere along Sanibel Island with reasonable beach access and parking nearby — not just the spots listed here. Lighthouse Beach, Gulfside City Beach Park, Bowman’s Beach and Causeway Islands Park are our regular spots.

Where do you set up on Sanibel?
We regularly set up near the Sanibel Lighthouse at Lighthouse Beach and at Gulfside City Beach Park. Bowman’s Beach and Causeway Islands Park are also available. If you have another access point in mind with reasonable parking nearby, tell us when you book and we will do our best.
How much does parking cost on Sanibel?
Lighthouse Beach, Gulfside City Beach Park and Bowman’s Beach are all $5 per hour metered — coin, card or the PayByPhone app. Causeway Islands Park is a free overflow option if the main lots fill up. Parking is paid to the island, not to us, and is not included in your reservation.
Which Sanibel beach has the most accessible parking?
Bowman’s Beach, with seven designated handicap spaces — the most of any Sanibel access — plus restrooms, outdoor showers and changing rooms. Lighthouse Beach has four handicap spaces near its boardwalk entrance and an ADA-accessible boardwalk straight onto the sand; Gulfside City Beach Park has three.
Are there restrooms and showers?
Yes. Lighthouse Beach, Gulfside City Beach Park and Bowman’s Beach all have restrooms and outdoor showers, and Bowman’s also has changing rooms. Causeway Islands Park has restrooms but no shower.

Can I combine the beach with “Ding” Darling?
Plenty of guests do. The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge is a few minutes up the island from our usual setup spots. Book the morning on the sand and head to the refuge in the afternoon light.
What happens if it rains?
If it is light rain, we still set up. If there are thunderstorms, lightning or winds of 15 mph or more, we let you know as soon as we can. If we have to cancel for weather before your reservation, you get a full refund or you can reschedule — your choice.
