Bonita Beach has a reputation for being quieter and more laid-back than its neighbours, and that is a large part of why it has become our home base. Here is what makes it work for a private beach day, and how to plan yours.
Why Bonita Beach
Bonita Beach Park is the anchor of the area — wide, uncrowded sand, calm Gulf water, and none of the high-rise crowding you find further north. It is the kind of beach where a private cabana setup actually feels private, rather than squeezed between a dozen other groups.
It is also the only beach where we have no trip fee, because our store sits directly across the street from the park entrance. That makes a Bonita day the least expensive way to try us.
Parking and getting there
Bonita Beach Park runs $2 per hour parking, paid by licence plate through Lee County’s Text2Park system or at the on-site pay station. There are full restrooms and outdoor showers, designated disability parking near the boardwalk, and a boardwalk ramp straight onto the sand with no steps.
If the main lot is full, Barefoot Beach Preserve is right next door — Collier County, so it is a $10 flat fee per vehicle, free with a Collier County permit, open 8:00 AM to sunset. Our full Bonita Beach parking guide covers both in detail.
What the day actually looks like
You show up and everything is already standing: the cabana, two wood-and-canvas chairs, a wooden table, a cooler stocked with ice and bottled water, and two Turkish towels. No hauling gear across hot sand, no fighting an umbrella into the wind, no scouting for a spot near the water.
Daytime setups run 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you would rather have the light than the heat, a Golden Hour Sunset package runs 3:00 PM to dusk by request.
We text you the moment your cabana is ready. You text us when you are heading out. That is the whole system.
Good to know before you go

- Barefoot Beach Preserve as the backup when the main lot fills
