Closest to the Sand
Bonita Beach Balloon — 9070 Bonita Beach Rd SE. This is about as close to the beach as happy hour gets on Bonita Beach Road itself. Drink specials run 11 AM–6 PM daily, with food specials 2–5 PM — easy to swing by right after you wrap up your beach day.
Bonita Bay Marina Area (Short Drive)
Backwater Jack’s — 27598 Marina Pointe Dr, in the Bonita Bay Marina area. Runs happy hour Wednesday–Sunday from 3–5 PM, plus a late-night round from 8–9 PM, with drink and bar-bite specials. Good waterfront atmosphere if you want marina views with your drink.
A Little Further Inland (Worth the Drive)
Koi Lounge — 24880 S. Tamiami Trail. Daily happy hour (Sundays run slightly shorter, 4:30–6 PM vs. 4–6 PM other days).
Rooftop at Riverside — 10450 Reynolds St. Weekday happy hour, 3–6 PM, with rooftop views if you want a change of scenery from beach-level.
Bonita Springs also has a deep bench of other well-regarded spots worth knowing about — Angelina’s Ristorante, Bonefish Grill, DeRomo’s, Enzo’s, and The Brass Tap among them — if you’re staying in the area for more than a day trip.
Plan Your Day Around It
Happy hour timing is easy to build a beach day around: book your cabana setup for the morning and early afternoon when the sun (and UV index) is strongest, then head to happy hour as things cool off in the late afternoon. A few of these spots (Bonita Beach Balloon especially) are close enough that you won’t lose much daylight getting there.
