Closest to the sand
Bonita Beach Balloon — 9070 Bonita Beach Rd SE. About as close to the beach as happy hour gets on Bonita Beach Road itself. Drink specials run 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, with food specials 2:00 to 5:00 PM — easy to swing by the moment you wrap up.
Bonita Bay Marina area — a short drive
Backwater Jack’s — 27598 Marina Pointe Dr. Happy hour Wednesday to Sunday, 3:00 to 5:00 PM, plus a late round from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, with drink and bar-bite specials. Worth it if you want marina views with your drink.
A little further inland — worth the drive
Koi Lounge — 24880 S. Tamiami Trail. Daily happy hour, 4:00 to 6:00 PM most days and 4:30 to 6:00 PM on Sundays.
Rooftop at Riverside — 10450 Reynolds St. Weekday happy hour 3:00 to 6:00 PM, with rooftop views if you want a change of scenery from beach level.
Bonita Springs has a deep bench beyond happy hour too — Angelina’s Ristorante, Bonefish Grill, DeRomo’s, Enzo’s and The Brass Tap among them — if you are in the area for more than a day trip.
Plan the day around it. Book your cabana for the morning and early afternoon, when the sun and the UV index are strongest and shade is worth the most. Then head to happy hour as things cool off. Bonita Beach Balloon in particular is close enough that you lose almost no daylight getting there.
