Whether you set up at Beach Access 27 or you are waiting on Lynn Hall Memorial Park to reopen, Fort Myers Beach still has a good lineup of on-the-sand happy hours to end the day. Here are the local favourites.
Right on the beach
Pincher’s Beach Bar and Grill. Happy hour 3:00 to 6:00 PM. The standout is ten peel-and-eat shrimp for 70 cents — hard to argue with after a beach day. Also discounted margaritas, domestic draft, house wines and cocktails.
Island View. Also 3:00 to 6:00 PM, with $4 beers and $6.50 cocktails. The specialty drinks are the draw — Swamp Aqua and Jaws are local favourites — alongside discounted appetisers like wonton fish tacos and oysters Rockefeller.
Pierside Grill. Happy hour 3:00 to 6:00 PM with $3 draft beers and $4 wines, including Key West and Yuengling on tap plus a solid wine list.
Fresh Catch Bistro. $6 wine and cocktails, with specialty drinks like the Orange Creamsicle and Godiva White Chocolate, plus an $8 mozzarella caprese tower if you want something to share.
Planning around the closure
With Lynn Hall Memorial Park still under reconstruction, most of these are an easy stop whether you set up at Beach Access 27 or elsewhere on the island — there is no need to backtrack far to get from your cabana to a drink.
A timing note. Our daytime setups run 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, which lands you at the bar right as happy hour starts. That is not an accident — the strongest sun is the part of the day worth spending under shade.
