With the Naples Pier still closed for its rebuild, more beach days are starting near 5th Avenue South — which happens to put you within walking distance of some of the best happy hours in the city. Here is where to go.
On 5th Avenue South
Aqua on Fifth — 862 5th Ave S. Daily, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. $6 domestic beers, $7 imports, $10 cocktails and house wine, $11 martinis, small plates from $9.
Bar Tulia — 462 5th Ave S. Daily, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. $4 beers, $6 wines, $9 cocktails, $10 spritz, small bites from $12.
BiCE — 300 5th Ave S. Sunday to Friday, 3:00 to 4:45 PM. One of the more generous deals in the area: 50% off cocktails and food, plus $7 beers and wines and $9 spritz.
Down by Naples Bay
Boathouse on Naples Bay — 990 Broad Ave S. Daily, 3:30 to 5:30 PM. $4.25 mixed drinks, $3 off wine, $7 specialty cocktails, $2 off beers. Broad Avenue South is also one of the restroom-equipped beach accesses while the pier is closed, so it is an easy stop either side of the beach.
Nosh on Naples Bay — 1490 5th Ave S, Unit 101. Daily, 2:00 to 6:00 PM. $5 drafts, $6 bottles, $8 wines, $12 signature cocktails, small plates from $11.
A bit south
Sea Salt — 1186 3rd St S. Daily, 2:30 to 6:00 PM, half price cocktails, beer and wine. One of the better values in the area if you want to make an afternoon of it.
The walk is the point. These cluster around 5th Avenue South and Naples Bay, which is exactly where the Old Naples beach accesses are. Sand to happy hour is a short walk, not a drive — so nobody has to stay sober for the car.
